Martie+Matt's Unique Airplane and Farm Themed Wedding
We're BIG fans of Martie+Matt! They're sweet and genuine people... The kind of people we like to surround ourselves with!
When Martie+Matt first contacted us they let us know that they wanted their wedding in bucks county, and have their portraits at a small airfield called Van Sant Airport. It's an awesome little airport with a grass runway, complete with vintage planes, gliders, and the sweet (almost eerie) echo of big band music streaming from a radio inside one of the plane hangars. Matt is a pilot in the Army, and owns his own plane, so they flew in from Connecticut to give their family and friends flights around the area in the days leading up to the wedding. What an amazing idea right?
After playing around the airport for a bit, we jumped in our cars and cruised on down to the 1850's River House where they had a farm to table themed reception complete with a produce stand for the guests, wildflower seed packets as place cards, and herb garden centerpieces. A beautiful and intimate ceremony with parasols was followed by a party that included a line dancing lesson! Thank you Martie and Matt for letting us share in your beautiful day. These are our favorites.
